New boxing gym is latest retailer to open in Lymstone Lofts building in Amherst

A gym that features boxing workouts is punching its way into the Main Street business district in Amherst.

Level Red Boxing, founded in Erie, Pa., is opening a new location in the Lymstone Lofts mixed-use building at 5933 Main St., straddling the Amherst-Williamsville boundary line across from Williamsville South High School.

Level Red Boxing, which also has a location in Pittsburgh, offers “boxing-inspired group fitness” through workouts that also include kettle bell strength exercises and core conditioning, according to its website. The workouts cater to everyone from beginners to gym rats, the company said.

Amherst lofts building with Lloyd Taco, spa nearly done

The Lymstone Lofts building on the Williamsville-Amherst border is set to open to its residential tenants next week, with a spa and Lloyd Taco Factory coming after that.

Bevilacqua Development is developer and general contractor on the three-story building at 5933 Main St., across from Williamsville South High School. The 56,000-square-foot building has retail on the first floor and 20 upscale apartments on the upper floors.

Bevilacqua has leased nine of the apartments and the first tenants are set to move in as soon as next week, pending final inspections, said CEO Jonathan Bevilacqua.

New Williamsville upscale apartments, retail building to open in late spring

The upscale apartments in a three-story building now nearing completion on Main Street in Williamsville will feature 8-foot-high doors, quartz countertops and a second head in every shower meant to reproduce the effect of rainfall.

There are 20 apartments in the Lymstone Lofts, located at 5933 Main St. across from Williamsville South High School, and amenities like these are why Bevilacqua Development LP plans to charge monthly rents ranging from $1,600 for a one-bedroom unit to up to $2,800 for a two-bedroom unit, depending on the size and room layout.

“There’s pretty strong demand, I believe, for residential housing in the village, and there’s not a lot of new supply in that area,” CEO Jonathan Bevilacqua said.
